Students may enroll in the Pre-Law Program at any time and should contact a Pre-Law advisor as soon as they discover an interest in law school. UNF alumni applying to law school may also join the Pre-Law Program and attend Pre-Law advising, workshops, and events.
Pre-Law advisors do not register students for courses. Pre-Law advising works with academic advisors to ensure students take general education requirements and in-major and elective coursework to develop the critical thinking and reading, analytic reasoning, and writing skills necessary to thrive in law school and legal practice. We also assist students and alumni with choosing the right law schools, preparing for the LSAT, navigating the admissions process and preparing application materials, securing financial aid, applying to summer programs, and finding internship and work experiences.
Pre-Law Advising Appointments
Students, prospective students, and alumni may make appointments for Pre-Law conferences. Pre-Law is located in Social Sciences (building 51), offices 2117 and 2118.
Students wanting a scheduled appointment should join Pre-Law's Canvas group and make appointments thought the Canvas calendar appointments feature.
The Pre-Law Director and staff try to maintain an open-door policy when on campus and available. Students may drop by the Pre-Law offices anytime but walk-in appointments may not be available.
The Pre-Law Director is happy to meet with prospective students. Students interested in attending UNF should contact Admissions to plan their UNF campus visit. Prospective athletic recruits should tell their visit coordinator if they wish to meet with Pre-Law during a campus visit.
Alumni may schedule appointments with Pre-Law by email or phone. Pre-Law has convenient evening and after-work appointments available each week.
