The University of North Florida Orchestra is comprised of students and several outstanding community musicians. The UNF Orchestra has garnered recognition for its outstanding performances in the Lazzara Performance Hall as well as at other concert venues such as Metropolitan Park, the Jacksonville Main Library, St. Marks Episcopal School, and the Mayo Clinic. Highlights from past seasons include collaboration with the Grammy-nominated Latin group Tiempo Libre, All Mozart and Bach programs, and a concert devoted to American Masters including John Adams, Aaron Copland, and Leonard Bernstein. Other collaborations include two operas with the UNF Opera Ensemble, and Handel's "Messiah," Beethoven's Mass, and the "Faure Requiem" with the UNF Chorale.
