The University of North Florida Orchestra is comprised of University students and outstanding community musicians selected through an annual audition process. The orchestra performs four concerts a year, covering a wide-ranging symphonic genre from Baroque to present-day compositions. The UNF Orchestra has been invited to perform at the Florida Orchestra Association's fall conference and the Music Educator's State Conference. A strong advocate for education, outreach and music of today, the UNF Orchestra has performed for 12,000 school-aged students in Duval, St. Johns, Clay and Brevard counties and have premiered works by Piotr Szewczyk, Gary Smart, Conor Brown and Courtney Bryan.
