Summer Vocal Artist and Conductors Studio Program

Improve your technique and advance your career in a challenging, collaborative environment.

The Summer Vocal Artist program is an immersive choral experience for high school students and community members. Singers will have the opportunity to work with world-class choral conductors from across the United States. Attendees will also be able to sign up for individual voice and piano lessons with UNF Faculty members. This program seeks to hone students' abilities in sight-reading, choral listening, body awareness, and in the overall use and mastery of the vocal instrument.

The Conductors Studio is designed to give early-career choral conductors the opportunity to work with master teachers on skills to help them meet challenges beyond their university training and to give mid to late-career choral music educators a challenging and immersive experience in which to reinvigorate their passion and dedication to the choral art. Work with Dr. Cara Tasher and guest clinician Dr. Joey Martin (Texas State University) and Coty Raven-Morris (Portland State University). Masterclasses will include percussion techniques for choral conductors, how to identify and correct specific vocal issues in your singers, instrumental techniques for choral conductors, score study and preparation, as well as building gestural vocabulary.
