10th Annual Conducting Symposium

The UNF School of Music is pleased to announce registration is open for the 10th Annual UNF Conducting Symposium on September 11-12, 2021.

 

In collaboration with UNF School of Music faculty, our special guest clinicians this year are Dr. Tremon Kizer, Associate Director of Bands, University of Central Florida and Dr. Brittan Braddock, Director of Bands, University of West Florida. Designed for current music educators of all levels and college students alike, symposium features will include conducting/coaching practicum sessions, as well as master classes on score preparation, creating an effective rehearsal environment and wind/percussion pedagogy.

Conductor Participant $175

  • Limited to 15 conductors, on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Please provide your own scores
  • After slots are filled, additional may elect auditor status or waiting list
  • All fees are non-refundable upon confirmation of slot
  • Two 15-minute conducting sessions with the UNF Wind Symphony, one coached by Tremon Kizer and one coached by Erin Bodnar
  • Two 15-minute video sessions with the UNF Wind Symphony, one with Brittan Braddock and one with Gordon Brock

Observer Participant $75

  • Unlimited observer spots
  • Provide your own scores
  • All fees are non-refundable upon confirmation
  • Attend all sessions but without one-on-one podium time and post-podium time
