The University of North Florida Music Flagship Program is pleased to announce two new degrees being offered in the fall of 2014. The Master of Music Degree with concentrations in Conducting, Jazz Studies and Performance and the Bachelor of Music Performance Degree with a concentration in Music Production and Technology.
Underwritten with grants from UNF and Riverside Fine Arts, Opera in a Box is taking “Little Red Robin Hood” to six Duval County schools for seven performances in February and March. Read more.
PPAI offers a unique and intensive 3 week program (July 28th – August 15th 2014) to prepare students for university theatrical auditions and conservatory training, as well as a professional career within the entertainment industry. Aspiring students will develop and hone their performance skills, utilizing strategies and techniques learned from PPAI’s experienced faculty. Students leave the program with a strong foundation, a boost of confidence and polished skills that will make them stand out above the rest!
Dr. Nick Curry, Associate Professor of Cello, was guest faculty at the Tennessee Cello Workshop in Knoxville, TN. He performed, gave four master classes and judged two competitions at this prestigious 3 day event. He also gave a master class and lecture at Western Kentucky University. Finally, his interview with world renowned cellist Clive Greensmith (former cellist for Tokyo String Quartet and cello faculty at Colburn School of Music) was published by String Visions.
