Study Abroad for Language Students
At UNF, language students undertake a transformative learning experience in the sense that as they enhance their linguistic skills and cultural understanding, they become better prepared to negotiate today's multicultural global society.
Along this same line, the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures encourages students to study abroad either in our French Program in Strasbourg or our Spanish Program in Burgos, Spain. Spanish students may also study for a semester at the following universities:
- Universidad de Burgos (Burgos, Spain)
- Universidad Loyola Andalucía (Seville, Spain)
- University of Málaga (Málaga, Spain)
Many of our students enroll in other summer, semester, or yearlong language programs throughout the world. Students receive departmental credit for all pre-approved courses of study abroad. Please note that language courses taken abroad independently at private language schools will not be accepted for academic credit at UNF. For additional information about these opportunities, students should contact the Department or the International Center.
