Statement on Diversity and Inclusion

The UNF Interdisciplinary Studies Program considers the diversity of our students, faculty, and staff to be a key element of our success as an academic unit dedicated to interdisciplinary inquiry in a complex world. In accordance with the COAS Statement of Unity, all are welcome as members of the community of faculty, staff, students, and alumni surrounding the program, regardless of factors such as sex, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality or immigration status, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity. We also recognize that the lives of many of our community involve clinical depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other conditions or differing abilities. We value and take pride in all of our students, whom we seek to empower as resilient, creative problem solvers prepared to effect positive change in the world. We affirm UNF’s unreserved commitment to student success within a diverse, supportive campus culture, and we seek to embody the ideals of a free and democratic society.
