Student Clubs and Organizations in the School of Communication
There are several student clubs that are associated with the B.S. in Communication major, including the Ad Club, the Multimedia Club, and PRSSA.

Ad Club
The
purpose of the UNF Advertising Club is to develop individual leadership
qualities and an understanding of group action; to provide a real world
experience to supplement formal education; to allow students to gain experience
in the advertising field; to develop relationships with others in the
advertising industry; to help the community by providing a quality service; and
to help other organizations improve their advertising departments.

Multimedia Club
The
Multimedia Club brings together students with an interest in media to create,
network and learn. Students have the opportunity to submit projects for awards
and scholarships, and learn from guest speakers. The Multimedia Club is
associated with the Broadcast Education Association and participates in the BEA
Festival of Media Arts, BEA’s 48-hour film festival and other activities. The
club’s membership has been successful in multiple regional contests and award categories
as well.

PRSSA
The
Public Relations Student Society of America is the foremost organization for
students interested in public relations, brand consulting, marketing and event
planning. PRSSA advocates rigorous academic standards, the highest ethical
principles and diversity in the profession. UNF PRSSA puts on events such as
agency tours, resume critiques, workshops and networking events that are open
to all members and students to attend.

Located in the Student Union, Spinnaker Media also offers opportunities for communication students.
Mentorship Program
About the Program
The School of Communication's mentorship program gives undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to connect with professionals in their field of study. Mentors are able to assist students with academic advice, career guidance and life lessons. Students are able to choose their mentor based off of the professional's background and expertise.
