Media Week 2016 Schedule

UNF Media Week 2016 - Oct. 10 to Oct. 14

Co-sponsor of Media Week: PineRidge Film & Television

This year's event took place Monday, Oct. 10 to Friday, Oct. 14 and marked the fourth year that students and professionals had this unique opportunity to come together.

Every year, professionals attend Media Week to share experiences and educate students on what it's like to work in the communication industry. From alumni mixers and networking luncheons to track-specific break-out sessions and panel discussions, there are multiple ways to get involved. We encourage you to promote the event on social channels using #UNFMediaWeek.

Meet the Mentors Breakfast Panel

Keynote Speaker: Hollywood animation editor H. Lee Peterson

10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

 Lee Peterson is a veteran animation editor whose films have grossed over $2 billion worldwide. He started his career making music videos (such as Diana Ross, Rick Springfield, and The Cars) and worked with Michael Jackson on "Moonwalker." In addition to working for Pixar Animation, Peterson edited for all the major Hollywood studios, including Walt Disney, Sony Pictures, Universal Studios and DreamWorks.Peterson will show short clips from some of his films - such as"Aladdin," "The Little Mermaid," and "Pocahontas" - and talk about the choices one makes as an editor. He will alsotalk about what it's like to work in Hollywood. Jerry Smith, CEO & Founder of PineRidge Film & Television, will moderate the event.

 

Lunch with H. Lee Peterson

Noon to 1 p.m.

UNF Boathouse

Join us at the Boathouse for a social hour after the keynote presentation. Jerry Smith from PineRidge Film and Television, along with animation editor H. Lee Peterson will be there to answer questions. Space is limited. Students pay for their own meal.
