Beth Nabi is in her third year on the board of Jacksonville’s chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design. As Education Co-Director, she helps produce meaningful programming for design educators and students throughout the region, including organizing and facilitating an annual, two-day portfolio review each April. The event draws more than 50 professionals and educators and more than 60 students, as well as a nationally known keynote speaker. Through AIGA, she has also volunteered with Jacksonville's Summer Night Lights program, geared toward reducing youth violence and crime, by providing positive art and design activities to local children and teens. Most recently, she was invited to speak on Design for Social Good at a session of AIGA Jacksonville’s Discover Design mentorship series, in which 20 local design professionals are paired with 20 high school students interested in learning about design. The pairs meet every other Saturday for eight months to produce a collaborative project that positively impacts Jacksonville.
