Liaison Majors: English, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies

I came to UNF in the Fall of 2016 to pursue a Master’s degree in Philosophy and Applied Ethics.  Shortly thereafter I joined the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies in an administrative role.  As I continued in the roles of both student and staff, I quickly felt membership in the UNF community.  I have enjoyed participating in many opportunities such as guest lectures like the John C. Maraldo Lecture Series, informal Philosophy Slams, as well as volunteering as a chair at UNF’s Annual Undergraduate Philosophy Conference, and a judge for the South-East Regional Ethics Bowl hosted in 2018 for the first time by UNF.  I enjoy attending UNF sporting events, Music Department offerings, Theater performances, as well as the Movies on the House series.

Beyond the UNF campus I am an active volunteer with Douglas Anderson School of the Arts as a parent of two students there.  I also volunteer with Operation New Hope headquartered in the Springfield area. In that role I have the opportunity to work with individuals recently released from incarceration. As a life coach I help build confidence and instill personal accountability & responsibility.

As an academic advisor I am impassioned by the opportunity to guide students through their educational goals here at UNF, ensuring that the student is focused on their success in education in the moment while still keeping an eye on the targeted goals of their future.  I have a true passion to assist you in achieving your goals by mitigating distractions, understanding time management, and being an advocate for you here at UNF.  That passion is fueled by the successes that are ahead of you.  I look forward to meeting with you, understanding your challenges, and being reliable support to you as you move forward towards achievement.
