SWOOP! Welcome to the University of North Florida!

My name is Rileigh Merritt-Dietz and I graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Florida in 2013, earning my Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Law and Philosophy. In 2016, I earned my Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Florida, specializing in Normative Ethics and Applied Ethics.

As an undergraduate, I served on the 2013-2014 UNF Ethics Bowl team, placing 3rd at the national level. As a graduate student, I served as the 2015-2016 President of the Graduate Student Philosophy Society (GSPS) at UF, which involved planning and organizing the Southeast Graduate Philosophy Conference (SEGPC). For the last three years, I have been teaching as an Adjunct Instructor of Philosophy at various colleges throughout Florida, including UF, Santa Fe College, and UNF.

In my spare time, I enjoy the nerdier things life has to offer! I am an avid gamer—from miniature wargames to video games, I play them all! I also have an obsession with anything related to Disney!

I am so excited to get to know you and I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals!

Sincerely,

Rileigh K. Merritt-Dietz, M.A. Philosophy
