Keith completed an Associate of Arts degree (with an emphasis in Theater/Acting) at St. Petersburg Junior College in 1993 and then transferred to Florida State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, with emphases in Interpersonal, Organizational, and Speech Communication, along with a minor in International Affairs. While at FSU Keith began his career in higher education, starting as an academic peer advisor in the School of Communication and joining the Orientation staff at FSU as well. After finishing his Bachelor’s degree in 1995, Keith stayed on at FSU to complete a Master’s degree in Higher Education with a specialization in Student Affairs. Upon graduation from that program in the spring of 1997, Keith came to the University of North Florida and started working as an Academic Advisor for the College of Arts and Sciences. He remained in that position for the next eight years and during that time was honored to receive the university's Outstanding Undergraduate Advising Award in 2004. In the summer of 2005 he accepted a position as Director of the Graduate School at UNF. During his tenure at the Graduate School, he completed post-master’s graduate coursework in Communication. Keith returned to the College of Arts and Sciences Advising Office as its Associate Director in the spring of 2011.


In addition to his administrative and advising duties, Keith also teaches senior level public speaking courses for the School of Communication as an adjunct instructor. Advising, teaching, and mentoring students are his professional passions and he enjoys helping his students reach their educational and occupational goals. At home Keith enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and two sons.
