This group works with faculty on the development of distance learning courses and fully online degree programs. All of the instructional designers hold graduate degrees and have teaching experience. In addition to their direct work with faculty on course development, they also provide consultation on online teaching and facilitate our Teaching Online (TOL) Foundation course.

Kevin has been involved in the design and development of online content for over 15 years. He came to UNF in 2012 from the University of Florida (UF), where he earned graduate degrees in Biology and Education. Kevin currently focuses on the development and implementation of online learning courses and degree programs. His interests are spending time with family, playing soccer, and surfing.

Allison is a two-time graduate of the University of Florida having earned a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.Ed. in Secondary Social Studies. Before joining CIRT, Allison taught economics, algebra, and geometry at the high school level, and served as an instructional designer for UF’s College of Education. Allison enjoys sharing meals with family and friends, running, and getting a healthy dose of vitamin D at the beach.

Megan taught 6th grade World History after graduating with a B.A. in History and a B.S. in Secondary Education from the College of Charleston. She joined CIRT in Fall 2016 after earning an M.Ed. in Learning, Design, and Technology from the University of Georgia. She enjoys travelling and, among other trips, has participated in a medical mission trip to Haiti and the Transatlantic Outreach Program’s teacher study tour to Germany. Megan also enjoys being on the water, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family – including her dog Lula May.

Jamie joined CIRT in 2015 after working as a 6-12 science educator for 10 years. She earned a Bachelor’s in Middle Grades Education, a Master’s in Teaching in Learning, and an Education Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction, all from Georgia Southern University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Instructional Technology with a concentration in eLearning. Her graduate school research involved the conservation and rehabilitation of sea turtles on Jekyll and St.Catherine’s Island. Her interests include traveling, outdoor activities, and attending live events.

Rozy graduated with B.A. in elementary education from UNF and has an M.Ed in eLearning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has worked as a teacher for Duval County Public Schools and as an education manager for a charter school in New York City. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three cats, reading, cooking, fitness, and trying new restaurants.

Stephanie M. Lee Weiss is the online learning librarian at UNF’s Thomas G. Carpenter Library. She took on this role after serving as a public services and instruction librarian. Stephanie earned a BA in Spanish and completed her MS LIS entirely online. Having been a DL student herself and previously worked with DL and non-traditional students before becoming a librarian, she brings a unique perspective to distance learning and libraries. Stephanie has a passion for bringing people and information together so working in DL/online education is a perfect fit.
Caleb is a junior currently majoring in Coastal Biology. He came to UNF in Fall 2016, having previously attended Jacksonville University. He is a Jacksonville native and enjoys visiting national parks, spending time with friends, and eating breakfast foods.
