Job Title: Legal & HR Assistant

Legal & HR Assistant is responsible for all assigned legal and human
resources files and projects, as well as all administrative functions. This position also requires an extremely
perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels, including
proactive and positive communication with clients even in stressful situations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide paralegal level support on all litigation,
case work and client projects.
Engage in extensive client
interaction, which must be warm, professional, accurate and often proactive.
Successfully project the
firm as the first voice or first person to greet clients, referral sources and
other parties, including showing empathy when appropriate
Gain expertise in all
filing systems in order to quickly located needed documents.
Partner with attorneys and
HR Consultants regarding case/project strategy and keep all updated on
Review all attorney
e-mails and respond when possible or update attorneys as soon as possible
Conduct prospective client
in-take calls and assess with attorneys and HR Consultants how to handle.
Maintain and continuously
update firm calendar for all appointments, deadlines, etc.
Coordinate meetings and
teleconferences and calendar same.
Conduct legal research,
background checks and other internet research.
Have ability to conduct HR
investigations, including at client locations.
Have familiarity with the
preparation of job descriptions, personnel policies and employee handbooks.
Provide the highest
quality of client services while understanding for client budgets.
Office supply management.
Open and distribute mail.
Understand desired results
and work cooperatively and respectfully with office team to help accomplish.
Perform Self-study to keep
updated in legal and HR and office software developments.
Additional duties may be added at the discretion of a supervisor.

Education & Experience:
paralegal, legal assistant and/or HR management experience.

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee
is regularly required to stand, walk, see, sit, talk and hear, and occasionally
required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or
move up to 25 pounds. Ability to adjust
focus as well as work on a computer for extended periods of time.
