Serves as a legal assistant working with another legal assistant, paralegals and attorneys in the Office of Counsel. The majority of the duties are clerical and administrative in nature, including: reception; timekeeping; purchasing and managing supplies, equipment, and services; property accountability; travel reservations, authorization, and reimbursement; proofreading and formatting documents; compiling and analyzing data using spreadsheets; and electronic and web-based library maintenance. The position also performs paralegal duties including: conducting legal research; proofreading and formatting legal agreements and filings; coordinating and compiling administrative records and responses to discovery; and monitoring compliance with litigation deadlines. All of the duties are performed under the supervision of the Deputy District Counsel.
