The department of Public Health is now offering clinical mental Health Counseling programs and Department of Public Health Continuing Education programs.

 University of North Florida-Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, DPH was approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 3073. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. University of North Florida-Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, DPH is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. 

 

ONLINE COURSES

BASICS OF SEXUAL WELLNESS FOR MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS

This start anytime, asynchronous course is offered by the University of North Florida Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. This course is worth 2 clock hours of NBCC credit and presented by Dr. Robert J. Zeglin, NCC, CST, LMHC.

Course Objectives:

  • Define sexuality in a comprehensive, non-stigmatizing, medically accurate way
  • Know and describe the five Circles of Sexuality 
  • Apply the PLISSIT model to sexuality-related cases
  • Utilize the Knowledge-Based Decision-Making Matrix
  • Formulate accurate sexuality-related diagnoses
