Welcome to the University of North Florida’s Division of Continuing Education — the premier provider of lifelong learning, workforce development and transformative enrichment experiences for the northeast Florida region and beyond. Our team of professional and volunteer educators is passionately committed to offering unsurpassed continuing education courses, certificates and experiences that enrich your professional, personal and social life.
We provide a wide variety of lifelong learning opportunities for you. Whether you want to enhance your career trajectory, prepare for a new job, expand your personal skills and abilities or learn with likeminded friends and engage new acquaintances, the Division of Continuing Education has a program for you. Our program and course offerings can enhance your professional skills in leadership, finance, business or logistics; engage you in mutually stimulating learning with adults 50 years and better; prepare you to successfully challenge a higher education entrance exam; or enrich your life by developing your artistic, creative and hands-on skills. Four Easy Ways to Register

ONLINE - View the online Course Catalog, select the program that interests you, then click on the link to the course listings. There you will find a list of all of the courses with their dates and times. To register for the course, click on Add to Cart.

CALL us at (904) 620-4200. Please have your credit card number and expiration date handy.

HAND DELIVER your form to a staff member in our office at the University Center, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Courses are limited in size to provide the best interactive opportunity for you. Act now to reserve your seat. We will confirm your early registration by e-mail. We will also e-mail a course confirmation and location verification, prior to the course start date. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the program begins.
If course enrollment is low, we may need to cancel, postpone or combine classes. You will receive an e-mail with any changes. We may substitute qualified instructors when necessary.

UNF Continuing Education Conduct Agreement
By registering for UNF Continuing Education courses, you understand and agree to the following: Students enrolling in Continuing Education courses provided by the University of North Florida must abide by all University rules, regulations and standards. This includes behavioral expectations set forth in the Student Code of Conduct and Academic Misconduct Policy. These cover a variety of topics, such as the following: - Academic integrity
- Disruptive conduct
- Endangering the safety of others
- Misuse of University materials, services or property
- Possession of weapons and destructive devices
- Responsible computing and use of University computer resources
- Discrimination, assault, and sexual harassment

The procedures set forth in the Student Code of Conduct do not apply to Continuing Education students. All violations will be addressed through the University’s Division of Continuing Education. Those who do not meet the behavioral expectations will receive an appropriate sanction, such as removal and denial of successful completion without refund. Sanctions are determined in the sole discretion of the Division of Continuing Education.

Cancellation Policy
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, ENRICH JAX, AND TEST PREP CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellation requests must be received no later than five (5) business days prior to the first day of class in order to receive a 90% tuition refund. No refund or transfer requests will be accepted within five (5) business days of the start of a class or if you do not attend.
*A 10% administrative fee is retained for cancellations not initiated by the University.
OLLI CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellation requests must be received prior to the first day of class in order to receive a 90% tuition refund. No refund or transfer requests will be accepted after the start of a class or if you do not attend. In the event we cancel a class, students will be contacted by email or telephone and given the option to transfer to another class or receive a 100% refund.
*A 10 percent administrative fee is retained by the University -
Continuing Education Units
UNF awards Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for qualified programs. CEUs are awarded on the basis of one unit for each ten contact hours.
A Tax Deduction may be claimed for all expenses of Continuing Education (including the registration fees, travel, meals and lodging) undertaken to maintain and improve professional skills.

Parking
Your registration fee includes parking in Lot 16, directly in front of the Adam W. Herbert University Center (Bldg. 43). Parking anywhere else on campus requires a daily parking permit displayed on your vehicle's dashboard. The $5 daily parking permits are available at the information booths.

Payment Information
Payment is due at the time of registration. You may pay by credit card (Visa, American Express, Discover or MasterCard), check, money order or company purchase order. Make checks payable to: UNF Continuing Education. Discounts cannot be combined; only one discount per registration is allowed. State of Florida fee waivers do not apply to non-credit courses. Call our Customer Care Team at (904) 620-4200 if you have additional questions about payment.
*If, for any reason a check is returned or stopped, University of North Florida will assess a service charge for 5% of the check amount to the participant that will be due immediately.

Privacy Statement
The Division of Continuing Education understands that the privacy of our participants is important. To that end, we have adopted the following policy with regards to the collection, use and dissemination of any personal information that we may request or require from participants or visitors to our web site. We are providing this policy below so that you may understand the terms and conditions associated with the provision of any of any personal information to us. Please note, however, that this policy has been developed with the recognition that Internet technologies continue to develop and evolve rapidly and that such changes may require us to alter our Privacy Policy. And such alternation will not affect our commitment to the protection of your privacy.
The Division of Continuing Education will not sell, swap, rent or otherwise disclose to any third party any personal or company information provided during the course registration or database entry process.

Textbooks
Textbook purchases may be required for some courses. Please call us to inquire about specific program book requirements.

Transfer and Substitution Policy
We can accept transfers to an alternate program offering. All transfer notices must be received by email, fax or mail before the start of the program. Qualified substitutes for registrations can be accommodated with advance written notice.

Veterans Benefits Information
- A grade report will be issued to each student at the conclusion of each course.
- Students who fail to earn a cumulative or term average of C (2.0) will be placed on academic probation and referred to the Program Coordinator. Depending on program structure, if the cumulative and/or term average fall below C during the next term of enrollment, students will be suspended and thus denied the opportunity to re-enroll. Written notification is sent to students who are placed on probation or suspension. A suspended student who desires to be readmitted to a program may do so upon the written recommendation of the Program Coordinator to the Dean.
- Veteran students' academic records will automatically be evaluated for prior credit. Credit will be granted if appropriate, with the training time and tuition adjusted proportionately and the VA and veteran so notified.
- Attendance is mandatory and will be reported to the Office of Veterans Affairs. Students will be suspended after three unexcused absences. All students must adhere to the Student Code of Conduct as set forth in the current Student Handbook.

Title IX Legislation
The University of North Florida does not discriminate on the basis of sex in the University’s educational programs and activities, and the University is required by Title IX and its implementing federal regulations to not discriminate on that basis. Financial Assistance
Individuals enrolling in programs offered through the University of North Florida Division of Continuing Education (UNFDCE) may be eligible for financial assistance through one of the following.

AmeriCorps
AmeriCorps funding is accepted once the participant has submitted his/her request through the AmeriCorps portal, my.americorps.gov and provides UNFDCE a copy of the submission and approval. It can be used for a face-to-face or online class format. Contact Program Director, Jessica Murray, with questions.

CareerSource Northeast Florida
CareerSource Northeast Florida provides training scholarships to eligible participants. Visit https://careersourcenortheastflorida.com/training-for-job-seekers/.

Florida Prepaid College Program
If you have the Florida Prepaid tuition plan, the amount it will pay per credit hour will vary based on the type of plan purchased. Since the programs provided by UNFDCE are clock hours, they need to be converted to credit hours to determine the total amount to be paid by Florida Prepaid. To get started, go to the Florida Prepaid website, create a profile, and submit documentation to UNFDCE verifying your account. If your account is not in good standing or you need to complete a survey, Florida Prepaid will not pay. It can be used for a face-to-face or online class format. Information Session Discounts
For a few selected programs (Project Management, Logistics, and Certified Financial Planner), information sessions are held to provide individuals the opportunity to ask programmatic questions and meet the instructors. Discounts are available to these attendees.

MyCAA
The Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts Program (MyCAA) helps military spouses pursue licenses, certificates, certifications, or Associate’s Degrees necessary for gainful employment in high-demand, high-growth Portable Career Fields and Occupations. It can be used for a face-to-face or online class format. To establish a MyCAA account and get your enrollment approved, visit the spouse portal at www.aiportal.acc.af.mil/mycaa. Private Loans
The University does not provide loans for continuing education programs. Loans are available, and may be secured independently by students from a number of private institutional lenders. Private lenders determine their interest rates, enrollment status requirements, repayment options, and any fees that may apply.

Veterans’ Professional Development Award
UNFDCE is proud to offer the Veterans’ Professional Development Award to U.S. military veterans to assist in their career goals. The Awards are valued $500 to $1,000 each, depending on program cost and availability of funds. Contact Program Director, Jessica Murray, with questions.

Veterans’ Professional Development Award
The UNF Division of Continuing Education (UNF DCE) is proud to offer the Veterans’ Professional Development Award to U.S. military veterans to assist in their career goals. The Awards are valued $500 to $1,000 each, depending on program cost and availability of funds.
The Award recipient(s) will be notified by January and must register for an eligible program that begins between January 1, 2023 and June 30, 2023.
To apply:
- Submit this Veterans' Professional Development Award application before December 31, 2022.
- Submit your DD214 or Certificate of Discharge to unfce@UNF.edu before December 31, 2022. For your security, be sure to omit any sensitive information, such as your social security number, prior to submission.

Transcript/Certificate Request
Current and former students may request an official UNF transcript or Certificate of Program Completion by submitting the completed Non-Credit Transcript / Certificate of Completion Request Form. Requests are processed within 2 business days of receipt and payment. Payment can be made online or by calling our Customer Care Team at 904-620-4200.
