Ron Heymann achieved his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2011 after successfully completing the Ken Zahn program at the University of North Florida. He has been teaching the certificate program at UNF since 2013, and also teaches several undergraduate courses at UNF.
Heymann earned his bachelor's of science from Florida State University in 1997. After spending eight years with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company at properties across Florida, he returned to school and earned an MBA from the University of North Florida. Upon graduation in 2006, he embarked on a career in finance. His industry experience includes working as a portfolio specialist and account executive for Fidelity Investments. Now an independent investment adviser with Davis Capital Management in Jacksonville, Heymann is responsible for comprehensive financial planning and asset management for high net-worth clients throughout the Southeast.
Heymann is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Northeast Florida, a trustee for the Fernandina Beach General Employee Pension Board, active in the Rotary Club of Fernandina, and chairs the fundraising committee for the McArthur YMCA. He donates time to a number of charitable organizations, providing counsel primarily on personal finance and planning-related issues. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children on the beaches of Amelia Island. He is also an avid scuba diver, and is known to strap on a tank and dive in any kind of environment, from the clear waters of the Caribbean to the murky, alligator-infested Cooper River in South Carolina.
