On 12 June 2014, a team of UNF Engineering students took flight aboard a NASA "Reduced Gravity Operations" aircraft to perform their experiments exploring how fluid, like blood, moves at very low flow-rates. NASA selected only 19 project teams to participate in this program from schools across the nation.
The Reduced Gravity Education Flight Program
operated by NASA Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, Texas, provides the unique "weightless" environment of space flight for testing and training. This capability provides an ideal environment for the development and verification of space hardware, experiments, and crew training.
