APR Energy becomes the new sponsor of the Osprey SAE Student Race Team
John Campion, CEO of APR Energy, has generously pledged to provide financial support and employees will assist as coaches and mentors to the students.
The SAE Competition is held every May in Brooklyn, MI, and brings an exclusive group of 120 national and international universities together to compete. This will be UNF’s fourth car in the competition.
The UNF Osprey Student Race Team is a collaboration among engineering and business students who must design and build a race car, and give a business presentation on the car to the judges.
The College is thankful for APR Energy’s willingness to engage these students in engineering concepts that challenge their academic knowledge and actually puts theory into reality.
The team environment of this project, communication, leadership, and collaboration are all critical workplace skills students learn as they work together to accomplish a goal.
APR will begin this year’s car design with a new slate of officers as they develop their design-build concept for competition.
Many thanks to APR Energy and John Campion for investing in our students!
