This site is designed to tell you more about the programs, people, and events that make the UNF engineering experience unique and exciting.

Our Mission

To provide diverse learning opportunities in the technical and professional aspects of engineering that prepare all participants to thrive in an evolving world.

Our Vision

The School of Engineering aspires to:

  • provide undergraduate programs that are among the best in the country
  • produce high quality research through undergraduate and graduate programs
  • make significant contributions to the economic vitality in Northeast Florida
  • inspire many students in k-12 education in Northeast Florida and beyond to pursue engineering as their profession of choice.

Our Values

We, in the School of Engineering, use the following values as our guiding principles in how we conduct ourselves:

Educational Objectives

UNF Engineering graduates will demonstrate:

The Bachelor of Science degrees in civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering offered at the UNF School of Engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET.

Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and Principles & Practices of Engineering (PE) Exams:

The FE and PE exams are administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).  For further details regarding the exams and how to register for them, please visit this link:

Satisfactory Progress Policy

The Satisfactory Progress Policies for the engineering programs are available in the UNF Undergraduate Catalog.  Students should refer to the catalog for the year during which they enrolled at UNF.


Admission to an engineering degree program follows the general admission requirements for the University of North Florida.
