When you travel, you will be with a group of fellow students and a UNF faculty member. The itinerary and most travel plans are pre-arranged, including expenses.
Most faculty-led programs are associated with at least 3 UNF credits.
There is certainly a level of commitment involved, however, Faculty-let Spring Break or May Break trips can be as short as 7 days, and Summer programs typically range from 1 - 5 weeks. These opportunities are not always available. If this interests you, let your advisor know.
