Cindy Cummings' undergraduate degree is in Nursing from the University of
Maryland. She obtained her M.S. in Nursing from the University of Maryland and her EdD from the University of North Florida. At UNF, she holds the title of Associate
Professor and Program Director for the Accelerated Nursing program.
Lakshmi Goel is an associate professor in the Department
of Management at the University of North
Florida’s Coggin College of Business.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai, a
Masters in Computer Applications from the University of Pune, a MS in Computer
Science and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Houston. Her research interests include knowledge
sharing, learning, and collaboration through information technologies such as
blogs, wikis, knowledge management systems, and virtual worlds. Her work has been published in journals such
as the MIS Quarterly, Information
Systems Journal, DataBase,
and various others.
Dr. Jennifer L. Lieberman is an assistant professor of English at the University of North Florida (UNF). She completed her Ph.D. in English at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in May 2011, and she holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Florida. Before beginning her position at UNF, she held an National Science Foundation postdoctoral fellowship in Cornell University’s Department of Science and Technology Studies (STS). As an interdisciplinary teacher-scholar, Dr. Lieberman enjoys starting or extending conversations across disciplines—and her time as a Community Scholar has trained her to build similar connections beyond academe.
Dr. Angela Mann is an
Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of North
Florida (UNF). She is trained as a school psychologist, licensed
psychologist, and behavior analyst receiving her Masters in General Psychology
at UNF and her Ph.D. In School Psychology at the University of South Florida.
She completed her postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins Medicine in the
Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Matthew Ohlson is an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership
within the College of Education and Human Services as well as the
Faculty Coordinator for the Taylor Leadership Institute. Dr. Ohlson has a Ph.D. in Educational
Administration and Policy with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction
from the University of Florida. He also received
comprehensive leadership training from the New York City Leadership
Academy and the The Schlechty/Hohmann Principals Academy.
Dr. Pinkstaff toured the east coast in search of an undergraduate degree
with stops in NY at SUNY Cortland, North Carolina at East Carolina University
and, finally, Virginia at George Mason University where she earned a Bachelors
degree in Integrative Studies with a concentration in International
Studies. She worked for five years in
Washington, DC as a publicist focusing on social justice, women’s health and
Dr. Radha Pyati is Professor and Chair of the UNF Department
of Chemistry. She earned her B.S. in Chemistry at the Ohio State University and
her Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After serving on
the faculty of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs for several
years, she joined UNF in 2008 and directed the UNF Environmental Center until
2013, when she began chairing her department.
Dr. Heather Truelove is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of North Florida (UNF). Truelove earned her master’s degree from UNF in the general psychology program before receiving her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Washington State University. Before coming to UNF in 2012, Truelove completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University in the Institute for Energy and Environment.
from Manchester, England, Christian Winterbottom is an Assistant Professor at
The University of North Florida. He earned his B.A. degree in English at the
University of Bedfordshire in England, and his Master’s degree and Ph.D., in Early
Childhood Education at the Florida State University. For four years, he taught
preschool and elementary students in Japan and when he moved to Florida he
worked extensively with Preschools and Head Start programs.
