Michelle Boling, PhD - Assistant Professor, Clinical & Applied Movement Sciences; Clinical Education Coordinator, Undergraduate Athletic Training Ed. Program
Michelle Boling earned her BA in Exercise and
Sport Science from UNC Chapel Hill, a MS degree in Kinesiology and Health
Promotion from the University of Kentucky, and her Ph.D. in Human Movement
Science from UNC Chapel Hill. Her research area focuses on understanding what
predisposes young adults to chronic knee pain.
Bobbi Doggett, MSJ - Instructor; Public Relations
Roberta "Bobbi" Doggett earned her MS in Journalism from West Virginia University and then worked in the public relations field for more than 15 years before joining UNF in 1998. After her visiting year, Ms. Doggett was hired by UNF's Department of Communication as a full-time instructor of Public Relations (PR). She is able to bring authentic, “real-world” experiences to the University because her varied and applied practice in the field.
Jody Nicholson, PhD - Assistant Professor, Psychology; Assistant Director, Center for Applied Research for Children and Adolescents (CARCAD)
Jody Nicholson earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from The University of Notre Dame, during which time she gained extensive community-based research experience. Looking to connect her class to the community, Dr. Nicholson learned that UNF’s Psychology Department was looking for a developmental psychologist whose research was community based and who was interested in integrating CBTL in the classroom.
Debbie Reed, EdD - Instructor, Exceptional, Deaf & Interpreter Education
Debbie Reed received her B.A. from the University of Richmond and her M.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University. She eventually went on to receive her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from UNF. Dr. Reed has worked in the education and social service fields for many years and currently teaches in UNF’s Department of Exceptional, Deaf & Interpreter Education.
Connie Roush PhD, RN - Associate Professor and Community-Based Clinical Faculty, Nursing
Dr. Connie Roush earned her MS in Nursing & Family Health Promotion from the
University of San Diego and her PhD in Nursing from the University of
Washington. She left Seattle for the east coast to be closer to family and
ultimately decided that UNF was the best fit for her because the faculty were
excellent and they had a strong Home Base Nursing program. As a Community-Based
Clinical Nursing faculty member, she has worked with the Pine Forest community
for the last six years.
Tarah Trueblood JD, MDiv, MA - Director, Interfaith Center
Tarah Trueblood earned a Juris Doctor from the
University of Nebraska (Lincoln), a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts
from the Graduate Theological Union’s Pacific School of Religion (Berkeley),
and her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky
(Lexington). Prior to joining UNF, she worked as an attorney and then served as
the Executive Director of the Wesley Foundation at University of California-
Karthikeyan Umapathy, PhD - Assistant Professor, School of Computing
Umapathy earned his PhD in Information Sciences and Technology and his MS in
Industrial Engineering from Penn State University before coming to UNF to teach
computing courses. His research interests center around analyzing, designing
and developing information systems.
