minor: Early Childhood Education

Minor: Early Childhood Education (12 credits)

Conditions to the minor: No more than 6 credit hours are allowed to be transferred in from another institution. These transfer courses must be preapproved. A cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required for the minor. Some minor courses require an override from the College of Education and Human Services prior to registration. Students may select either the online or face-to-face course option. Substitutions may be allowed in consultation with advising.

EEC4260 Teaching the Whole Child (3 credits)
EEC4054 Leadership/Service in Early Childhood Setting (3 credits)

CHOOSE 6 Credits of the following:
LAE3210 Foundations of Literacy (3 credits)
EEC4213 Teaching Literacy in Early Childhood Grade 3 (3 credits)
EEC4321 Teaching Mathematics in Early Childhood settings through grade 3 (3 credits)
EEC4323 Teaching Science in Early Childhood Settings through grade 3 (3 credits)
EEC3731 Wellness and Movement for Young Children (3 credits)
