Overview of CCEC Distance Learning
Courses
are recorded live in a classroom environment, and web cast over the Internet
for on-demand streaming of recorded lectures. Distance Learning students may
choose to watch live, or watch later, and have unlimited access to video
lectures anytime, any place. Faculty also have access to their distance
learning lectures so that they may review content and teaching style. For some
courses, students may be required to participate on campus for special projects
or class exams. Check the course syllabus for the dates and times when on-site
attendance is necessary.
Each distance learning class is the equivalent of an on-campus section of the same course, and like on-campus students, Distance Learning students receive full access to campus resources. Distance Learning students must also meet stated prerequisites where applicable, and adhere to assignment/project deadlines.
Freedom and Flexibility
CCEC Distance Learning at UNF provides students with the highest quality ‘e-Learning’ experience possible. Distance
Learning offers freedom and flexibility in educational opportunities.
Successful DL students are self-motivated, goal-oriented, and disciplined in
keeping a study schedule and completing coursework. Taking this active role in
education helps students become resourceful at using new technologies, which
results in a tremendous advantage in the workplace. Distance Learning provides
students and working professionals a convenient way to earn a degree or
continue their academic development.
Distance Learning Fee
A
fee of $30 per credit hour will be assessed for students enrolling in UNF
distance learning sections to help supplement the additional costs involved in
delivering these classes.
