School of Nursing Important Dates

The School of Nursing adheres to a strict admissions process. Important information about the dates of admission, interview, decisions, orientation, etc. can be found below on this page. Note that the university-level application forms typically open one year in advance of the term to which admission is desired. The exact date will vary slightly each application period.

 

All application forms, transcripts, application fees, supplemental items, licensures and certifications (if applicable), and entrance exam scores (if applicable) are due by 11:59 p.m. on the deadline without exception.

  Admission Interviews: Please note that an interview is conducted prior to admission into either Prelicensure track. The interview is competitive and is conducted in a group setting as the ability to work and interact effectively with others is of the utmost importance to the major and to the field. Alternate interview dates are not available. The dates are posted well in advance so that candidates may plan accordingly.

   

  Nursing Orientation: Please note that there is a mandatory 2-day orientation (Taking Flight) for all students admitted to the Prelicensure tracks. Failure to attend will result in the forfeiture of one's seat.

  This format of the post-MSN DNP operates courses in an 8-week format with new admission being offered only at the first half of the semester. Enrollment may be full- or part-time and should be selected on the Enrollment Selection Form, which must be submitted to the Graduate School as part of candidates' supplemental materials.
