Areas of Expertise

My research experience is primarily concerned with environmental fluid mechanics, with a particular focus on turbulent flows. More specifically there are three focus areas of my work: (1) regional and near-shore wave and circulation modeling, (2) estuarine modeling, (3) simulations and observations of turbulent processes in the environment, (4) oil spill modeling. The broad goal of my work is to further improve our understanding of these fluid mechanical flows and phenomena through a combination of mathematical modeling and numerical computations.
