Biography

Dave Reed is an instructor at the Taylor Leadership Institute. He formerly held top studio positions at A&M Records and The Jim Henson Company, as well as in a production company startup with Kiefer Sutherland and Jude Cole. His facilities’ clients included artists such as Paul McCartney, Bon Jovi, Eagles, Dr. Dre, Guns N’ Roses, and Mariah Carey. Dave has 11 Gold and Platinum album credits of his own for work with Bruce Springsteen, KISS, Stone Temple Pilots, and Lifehouse among others.

Dave also worked for ESPN on Super Bowls, X Games, and other major events where he helped with VIP logistics, hospitality, and branding. Moving back to his hometown of Jacksonville, Dave opened a graphics production company specializing in large-format media for events and promotions. He went on to become one of “Northeast Florida’s Top 50 Business Influencers” according to Advantage Business Magazine.

After decades of industry innovations in the world’s leading recording studios, major televised events, and his own brick and mortar business, Dave began applying his creative talents to custom residential design. He also became highly involved at UNF, serving as Leadership Chair for the Student Affairs Community Council, and working closely with the Taylor Leadership Institute on its custom textbook, curriculum, events, and cross-institutional initiatives. Dave resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, where he enjoys surfing, reading, and writing.
