Prior to entering academia full-time, Dr. Hart worked in public accounting as a tax accountant and software support specialist in a local CPA firm in Louisiana. She earned her Masters and PhD in Accountancy at the University of Mississippi where she also taught in the Patterson School of Accountancy as an Instructor. Dr. Hart served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and an Associate Professor at Austin Community College. She maintains an active CPA license and is professionally involved with the American Accounting Association and the Florida Institute of CPA's.
