Vicki Cornett has over twenty years of higher education experience that includes student teaching supervision and teaching. She has supervised well over 1,200 student teachers at five universities. Classes taught at the different universities include: Foundations of Education; Educational Psychology; Language Arts Methods; and, Reading Methods. In addition, she served as the co-editor of the Kansas Journal of Reading.
Ms. Cornett has 11 years of teaching experience in public K-12 school districts and in a private school setting in Valencia, Venezuela, including first, second, and fourth grades, as well as teaching elementary vocal music.
Ms. Cornett also has ten years of social work experience, working with high-risk children and their families in public and non-profit programs addressing child abuse prevention and intervention programs in both caseworker and administrative roles. Ms. Cornett is bilingual in English and Finnish.
