Scott Lane is an Adjunct Professor of Transportation and Logistics at University of North Florida (UNF), and part of UNF's Transportation & Logistics Flagship Program. Over the past 22 years Professor Lane has worked on transportation, logistics, strategic sourcing and supply chain problems across a host of industries including automotive manufacturing, frozen seafood distribution, and 3rd party supply chain operations. He gained 3PL experience working with CEVA Logistics and Penser Supply Chain Inc. working with companies like Honda Manufacturing, Vistakon, and Red Gold Tomato products. Professor Lanes's teaching portfolio includes courses in transportation, warehouse operations, purchasing, and supply chain management.
Scott Lane currently serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Beaver Street Fisheries, where he is responsible for establishing the strategic direction for the technology and software supply chain platforms as well as the daily systems operations and support for a major seafood distribution company in Jacksonville, Florida.
Scott started his logistics career as a US Army Officer serving at several assignments including Fort Bragg, NC and Germany.
