Biography

Peter M. Magyari, Ph.D., HFSCSCS is an Assistant Professor of Exercise Physiology and Director of the Undergraduate Exercise Science Program in the Brooks College of Health at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL His research focuses on the application of resistance training in both healthy and diseased populations. Peter is ACSM Health and Fitness Specialist Certified and a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is currently serving as Co-editor of ACSM's Certified News and has previously served as a member of ACSM's Certification Exam Development Team. Dr. Magyari and his wife Sarah have two boys, Myo and Rox and reside in Atlantic Beach, FL.
