Biography

Dr. Katherine Hooper received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Florida and a Ph.D. in Psychology and Neuroscience at Indiana University. She joined the Psychology Department at UNF in 2003 and currently serves as a non-tenure-track Instructor. She teaches four classes per semester (fall and spring), most commonly Behavioral Neuroscience, Research Methods, Special Topics in Behavioral Neuroscience, and Advanced Biopsychology.

Dr. Hooper oversees UNF's Behavioral Neuroscience major as well as the Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy Lab (fNIRS) where undergraduate and graduate students use near-infrared light to investigate the neural correlates of human behavior.
