Mandi N Barringer

Assistant Professor

Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work | College of Arts & Sciences

Areas of Expertise

My research interests include sexualities, gender, religion, and applied sociology. My current research projects focus on addressing a gap in the literature concerning sociological, quantitative studies of sexual and gender minorities’ attitudes and beliefs.

My teaching experience includes sociology of sexualities, research methods, program evaluation, media and pop culture, and gender. In all of my courses, there is a heavy emphasis on group discussion and hands-on learning.
