Areas of Expertise
I have extensive experience in commercial and real estate law. I have represented banks and mortgage companies as well as individual and commercial borrowers. My litigation experience includes both commercial and criminal law. More recently my work has involved startups, acquisitions and mergers. Currently I am working with a client in the biomass gasification industry (garbage to energy) and carbon emissions reduction.
For the last 27 years I have taught as an Adjunct Instructor of Business Law at UNF I specialize in the areas of Sales, Uniform Commercial Code Art. II, Negotiable Instruments, Uniform Commercial Code Art III and Professional Responsibility and Liability.
The practical experience I bring to the classroom enhances the learning experience. When we talk about these subjects I can relate real world experience to the topic. In other words, why you really do need to know the subject. It is the real world and it affects your life.

I spent my career in the private practice of law and served for several years as Municipal Judge of the City of Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
