My student is transferring to UNF with an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree from a Florida institution. What's next?
An A.A. degree from a Florida public university, community college or state college will satisfy UNF
General Education
and
Gordon Rule
requirements. Students should send a transcript to UNF at the time of application and a final transcript after the A.A. degree is awarded.
Note:
students must send an
official
transcript directly from
every
institution attended, as well as any score reports for accelerated mechanism credit, i.e. Advanced Placement (AP). Students must also meet
transfer student admission
criteria.
My student is transferring to UNF without an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree from a Florida institution. What's next?
UNF does admit transfer students without an A.A. degree from a state of Florida institution. These transfer students must complete UNF
General Education
and
Gordon Rule
requirements. Students should send a transcript to UNF at the time of application and a final transcript after completion of all transfer coursework.

If my student has completed all of their selected UNF major prerequisites, which classes are they eligible to take?
Students can begin classes in their
major
(and minor, if applicable), if prerequisites to
individual
courses at UNF are satisfied. (
Individual
course prerequisites can vary from institution to institution.) Students should consult a UNF academic advisor prior to registering for classes.
Note:
students applying to limited-access or selective-admission programs must be admitted into the limited-access or selective-admission major prior to enrolling in classes.
If my student has not completed all of their selected UNF major prerequisites, how will that affect transferring to UNF?
Your student may still apply to UNF but must complete missing program prerequisites at UNF. Students may also request approval from a UNF academic advisor through the
concurrent enrollment
process to take courses at another institution once matriculated at UNF. Students should consult a UNF academic advisor prior to registering for classes.
What is the state of Florida foreign language requirement?
Students must present evidence of completion of two years of the same foreign language in high school or must verify completion of eight credit hours of the same foreign language in college/university. High school and college/university transcripts must be sent to the UNF Office of Admissions as per the
state foreign language requirement
policy. Students with questions about how to satisfy a foreign language deficiency should consult a UNF academic advisor.
My student is applying to a limited-access or selective-admission program at UNF. What's next?
Your student must complete an application to UNF and satisfy to all admission criteria, complete any supplemental application materials and meet any program-specific application deadlines outlined by the limited access or selective-admission program. Admission criteria for

majors can be found on individual college webpages and in the University catalog.

Your student must apply to the University indicating their intended major (and concentration, if applicable) by deadlines established by the
