ACT On-Campus (Formerly ACT Residual) Test Information

The ACT On-Campus™ test is an alternative to the ACT® test that enables colleges to proctor and self-score an ACT test form. ACT On-Campus Testing at the University of North Florida is intended for students who have applied for admission and have been assigned a UNF ID number. Students who do not have an application on file at UNF will not be scheduled to test.

Scores from the ACT On-Campus are reported to the University of North Florida only. ACT On-Campus score reports cannot be issued to any other institution or agency, including Bright Futures.

COSTS

The ACT On-Campus exam registration fee is $55. ACT fee waivers will be accepted. Please note: registration fees are non-refundable.

Fees are payable by credit/debit card or e-check via CashNet. ACT fee waivers can be emailed to ACToncampus@unf.edu after seat reservation.

The deadline to register is noon on the day prior to the test. You are encouraged to register at least 48 hours in advance of the test date to confirm eligibility and seat availability.

SCORES

Test scores are valid at the University of North Florida only. ACT On-Campus score reports cannot be issued to any other institution or agency, including Bright Futures.

ACT On-campus scores will be mailed to you approximately 7-10 working days after your test administration. Test scores will also be made part of your record at UNF.

RETAKE

You must wait 60 days since your last ACT test before you can retake the exam, but may take the National ACT when available.

CONTENT

The ACT On-Campus test is a paper-based test and takes approximately 3 ½ - 4 hours. The test consists of four (4) timed multiple-choice sections – English, Math, Reading, and Scientific Reasoning.

PREPARATION

UNF offers free virtual SAT/ACT preparation sessions offered. These events equip students for success on the standardized tests that are often a requirement for college or university admission. Seats are limited. Learn more and register on our Virtual Test Prep at UNF website.

We also encourage you to visit the ACT website for information on test preparation. The ACT publication titled "Preparing for the ACT" provides an overview of the skills and knowledge tested on each section of the exam.
