Incoming First-Year Checklist
Now that you’re admitted, the following steps must be taken to complete your admission to UNF.

Your UNF myWings account is your portal for all UNF business. This is where you will find information
about financial aid, outstanding items, registration holds, pay your bill, access your email and just about anything else.

You will be getting regular emails to your official UNF email account, which you can access through
myWings, as well as the email you provided on your application. Check your email regularly and make sure you keep an updated email address on file with the UNF Office of Admissions.

Financial Aid Website
If you want to be considered for financial aid, you must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year. The FAFSA opens on Oct. 1 and the priority deadline to submit a FAFSA is Oct. 15.
If you are starting in the summer term, you will need to submit two FAFSAs; one for the current aid year to determine eligibility for the summer term, and one for the upcoming aid year to establish eligibility for the fall/spring terms.

All incoming freshman are required to register for and attend New Student Orientation. Information on how and when to register will be sent out mid-fall. Students are encouraged to register for Orientation by May 1.

You will need to take care of housing and dining prior to attending New Student Orientation.
Housing: Visit the myHousing portal to complete your housing contract(s), search for potential roommates and submit housing community, room type and roommate preferences. The housing contract opens in mid-fall.

Dining: Log into your myWings account to select and purchase your meal membership. All First-time in College students that are living on campus are required to have a meal membership.

Declare your Florida residency to qualify for in-state tuition rates. Please note, this must be completed even if you graduated from a Florida high school. To complete your residency declaration, visit your myWings account and select “What’s Next”.

If you live in Florida, make sure UNF is listed as your school of choice on your Bright Futures application. Otherwise, the University will not be able to add your Bright Futures Scholarship to your financial aid package.

All students born after 1956 must show proof of immunity to MMR (measles, mumps and rubella). Upload your immunization form to UNF’s Office of Medical Compliance. To do so, log into your myWings account, click Student Resources, select Student Self-Service and then click on Upload Student Documents.

Parent and Family Orientation providesthe opportunity for family members to hear directly from departments at UNF about their programming and services for students. Family members will meet other new Osprey families, make connections with faculty and staff, visit on-campus dining options, and more. Sign up for the Parent Newsletter today!

Your admission to UNF is contingent upon the successful completion of your senior year. UNF reserves the right to rescind our offer of admission should your academic performance result in the failing of a class or not graduating from high school.

All final and official copies of transcripts, including dual enrollment transcripts, test scores and AP/IB/AICE score reports, must be submitted within 30 days of starting classes at UNF. Failure to submit these documents will hinder your ability to register for future terms. A list of your required documents can be found in your myWings account.
