Welcome to the College of Arts and Sciences

If you are interested in a career in the fine arts, one of the STEM fields or in social sciences, the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of North Florida should be at the top of your list.

The College of Arts and Sciences offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs. An integral part of these programs is the emphasis on hands-on learning, using up-to-date technologies in the classrooms and laboratories, undergraduate research and experiential learning. Students who study with us learn critical thinking and problem-solving. They learn to think on their feet and graduate with tools needed to be successful anywhere.

Meet the Dean

Dean Rainbolt Headshot   Our faculty members are some of the greatest minds with whom I have had the pleasure to work, and their dedication to our students is second to none. They work with you in and out of the classroom to see you succeed. Often, when I am leaving campus for the evening I see a professor and students meeting up to review a chapter or to go over the notes before a test.

Your success is our success. We want you to not only learn, but to master the curriculum, and to think critically, creatively and analytically. When you leave campus after graduation, you will leave with the knowledge and skills that will allow you to compete in the global marketplace. You will have gotten unparalleled practical experience through internships, study abroad opportunities and research with faculty.

At the University of North Florida, you will have limitless opportunities to not only achieve your dreams, but also to leave your mark.

Dr. George Rainbolt

Dean, College of Arts and Sciences
