Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award 2010-2011
Mei Zhao, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Brooks College of Health where she teaches in the Department of Public Health's Health Administration Programs. She received her Ph.D. degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and currently teaches Health Economics, Health Care Finance, Quantitative Analysis in Health Care, and US Health Care System at UNF. Her research is focused on the cost, quality, financing, and delivery of health care services in a rapidly changing and global economy. Mei was awarded two Transformational Learning Opportunity grants from UNF and has led several student study abroad trips to China. She was a recipient of the University of North Florida’s Outstanding International Leadership Awards in 2008-2009. She is also the recipient of 2010-2011 Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Awards at UNF. She has published in many journals including Inquiry, Health Policy, Journal of Health Care Finance, Health Care Management Review, and others.
