Jeff Michelman is a Professor of Accounting and Director of the Flagship Program in International Business at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, where he has been on the faculty for the past twenty-one years. He is a past recipient of the University of North Florida’s outstanding awards for Research, Undergraduate Teaching, Faculty Service and International Service. Jeff is the 2009 Recipient of the Coggin College of Business’s Distinguished Professor Award. Dr. Michelman is both a CPA and CMA. Jeff is a 1996 graduate of Leadership Jacksonville. He received his B.S. degree from the University of Delaware in accounting and economics, his M.H.A. degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and both an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. degree in business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Jeff has published articles in a variety of information systems, accounting, international business and healthcare journals. He has taught abroad including as a Visiting Scholar at the University of the South Pacific and currently a Visiting Professor at the University of Warsaw. Jeff served as a member of the national HFMA's Accounting Principles and Practices Board and was President of the Florida Chapter of the HFMA and received HFMA’s Medal of Honor in 2006. Jeff is an active member of the Oceanside Rotary club where he serves as a member of the Board of Directors and the faculty advisor to UNF Rotaract; was a member of the Youth Leadership Jacksonville Council where he is a Past Chairman and a member of the Leadership Jacksonville Board of Directors and executive committee. Jeff currently serves as the chair of the Advisory Board for the Career Academies of Marketing and International Business at Ponte Vedra High School.
