Accounting and Finance
Diane Tanner has served on the faculty of the University of North Florida for 26 years and is currently a Senior Instructor of Accounting. She is a UNF alum having received both her BBA and Masters of Accountancy degrees from UNF. She teaches primarily cost accounting and the lower-level financial and managerial accounting courses. She serves as coordinator of both lower-level accounting courses and a mentor to adjuncts who teach those courses.
Tanner is a Certified Public Accountant and has held positions as an internal auditor, cost accountant, controller, and as principal in her own public accounting firm. She is the author of numerous national accounting textbook ancillaries, and has created a plethora of online learning materials, both for national publishers and her own students.
This award is her fifth Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award.
