Admissions will recalculate a grade point
average (GPA) based on the following eighteen (18) academic units in college
preparatory courses. Additional weight is given to grades of "C" or
higher earned in honors, Dual Enrollment, Advanced Placement, IB or AICE
courses. While students may not have completed all the required courses at the
time an application is submitted; they are required to complete them prior to
high school graduation and entrance into UNF.
Four units of English
Four units of math (Algebra 1 or higher)
Three units of natural science
Three units of social science
Two units of (the same) foreign language
Two units of academic electives
All applicants must submit an admissions
application, application fee payment or the fee waiver and all judicial conduct
issues must be cleared.
First time in college: will need to submit
the above items, plus the following: high school transcript and SAT/ACT score.
If you are participating in dual enrollment or other accelerated mechanisms
(AP, IB, AICE, etc.) you will need to ensure UNF receives those transcripts and
score reports to complete the admissions package. However, this is typically
not needed for an admission decision.
Lower-level transfer applicants: will need to
submit the above items plus the following: final high school transcript,
SAT/ACT scores, all post-secondary institutional official transcripts and
accelerated mechanisms (AP, IB, AICE, etc.).
In some instances, UNF may be able to make an admission decision with
just the transcript from the last attended institution.
Upper-level transfer applicants: must provide
the above items, plus the following: all post-secondary institutional official
transcripts and accelerated mechanisms (AP, IB, AICE, etc.). In some instances, UNF may be able to make an
admission decision with just the transcript from the last attended
institution. However, you must prove at
least 40 earned transferable credit hours before UNF can make an admission
decision. It is recommended to submit a
high school transcript as it may demonstrate you have met the foreign language
International students: may need to provide a
foreign evaluation from an approved credential evaluation company and/or
demonstrate English language proficiency.
