The Executive Branch works to address student concerns on campus. Members of the Executive Branch help the student body in multiple ways. Their duties include serving on university committees, speaking at events, working with athletes, Greek and other groups and organizations, as well as coordinating activities for students. The Executive Branch is comprised of the Executive Cabinet and Executive Agencies. To see what was accomplished during 2016-2017, click here.

Chief of Staff Gloria Turner

Gloria is a junior majoring in history and double minoring in community leadership and philosophy. Gloria was born in south Florida and after graduating high school she moved to Jacksonville to attend the University of North Florida. Since her time in college, Gloria has fallen in love with both the Jacksonville community and UNF. This is Gloria’s second position within Student Government and she is excited to work for students and with students in order to give back to her UNF community.


As Chief of Staff, Gloria hopes to develop and execute programs that will help Student Government to better engage with the student body here at UNF. She hopes that these programs will better the student’s campus lives while being fun and enjoyable for all.


Gloria is also involved within various organizations on campus. After graduating, Gloria hopes to attend law school where she wishes to pursue a career in corporate law. 

  Press Secretary Jacob Rigg 

Jacob is a junior majoring in Public Relation. This is his first semester at the University of North Florida and he is thrilled to be a part of Student Government. He originally transferred from Eastern Florida State College where he graduated with both an A.A degree and an A.S. in Digital Media.

As Press Secretary, Jacob is excited to be part of the driving force that shapes the university’s student body. During his free time, Jacob enjoys going to the movies, sleeping, practicing the same three card tricks, and hiding in bushes to avoid answering questions.
