John Kantner

 Dr. John Kantner joined the University of North Florida in 2013 as the Assistant Vice President for Research, and was appointed Associate Vice President for Research & Dean of the Graduate School in 2014. Previously, he was Vice President for Academic & Institutional Advancement at the School for Advanced Research, an independent research center for the social sciences and humanities. From 1999 to 2006, Dr. Kantner was an associate professor in the Department of Anthropology & Geography at Georgia State University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara  in 1999, where he studied archaeology, anthropology, geography, geochemistry, and evolutionary theory. Dr. Kantner's research focuses on the archaeology of ancient societies, with a particular interest in the processes through which complex social and political institutions emerged throughout  human  history.

 Amanda2 Amanda Pascale

Dr. Amanda Pascale came to UNF in August of 2011. Prior to joining the Graduate School in 2014, she served as Associate Director in the Office of Admissions. She also currently adjunct teaches Master's level students in the Higher Education program for the College of Education and Human Services. Dr. Pascale earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration as well as a Master's of Science in College Student Personnel and Student Affairs from the University of Tennessee. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She is a member of multiple national organizations and has authored several published research articles and book chapters relating to student success, recruitment, and retention in higher education.

Megan joined the Graduate School in July 2013. Prior to joining the Graduate School, she worked at UNF as a Student Assistant for three years, then as a Program Assistant for the Educational Interpreter Project. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from UNF and is continuing on to the MBA program. 





 Ada M. Urbizu

Ada Urbizu is from Orlando, Florida. Prior to joining The Graduate School in January 2012, she took a 16 year hiatus from the business sector to raise her three children as a stay-at-home mom. She volunteers at Christ the King Catholic School and is looking forward to growing with the UNF family.

Jasmine is from Deltona, Florida, but moved to Jacksonville in 2009. She recently graduated from UNF in fall 2013 and joined the Graduate School in March 2014. She enjoys spending time with God, family and friends. 

Danielle stedham

Danielle Stedham

Program Assistant



 Danielle is originally a Jacksonville, FL native. She left in 2007 to attend the University of Central Florida in Orlando where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Magazine Journalism. Before working for UNF, she was an Editor at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Base. She recently moved back to Jacksonville while her husband finishes his degree in Mechanical Engineering. She gets to be close by working as a recruiter and social media guru for the graduate school. She is excited to continue learning more about the UNF students and community
