(M.B.A.) was recently named senior client manager by Bank of America Merrill
Lynch for the Central Connecticut market. Based in West Hartford, she will
support commercial clients with $5 million
to $50 million in annual revenues throughout the region by delivering
strategic, integrated financial advice and solutions (including credit, cash
management, foreign exchange and equipment financing) available to Bank of
America Merrill Lynch clients. Bechtle, who has been in the banking industry
for 30 years, came to Bank of America through its acquisition of Barnett Banks
in 1998. Her previous responsibilities include roles in credit review, retail
area management and corporate banking. Bechtle most recently served as a Middle
Market senior lender in the South Florida market.
(Tina) Bullock (M.A.S.) 1989 recently ran a successful campaign to
become a District 3 School Board Member in Clay County. She was sworn in Nov.
18, 2012 and participated in her first board meeting that same evening. Prior
to that, Bullock retired as an long-time education and as the principal of
Keystone Heights High School.
Neese (B.S.N.) was awarded a Ph.D. in Nursing in May 2012 from Barry
University in Miami Shores, Fla. She lives in Port St. Lucie, Fla. and works as
a nurse at the Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter.
Fusto (B.A.)graduated in May
2012 with a second master’s degree from Teachers College and Columbia
University in New York. Since leaving UNF, he has centered his life around
education. In addition to his job as the head of upper school (grades 6-9) and
assistant headmaster (K-9) of a junior boarding school in New England, he has
founded and directs an educational program in the Dominican Republic in which
he takes hundreds of students from the United States to live and work in
orphanages on the islands. In 2011, Fusto published two books, “The Next Best
Thing to Being There” and the teacher guide to the Emmy award-winning
documentary “Which Way Home.”
Dunston (B.B.A.) recently accepted a new position as benefits consultant
with USAble Life, a Florida Blue partner and will be responsible for the
Carper (B.A.) completed her master’s of business administration in
August 2012 from Wake Forest University in Charlotte, N.C. After six years as a
publicist in New York City, the former Presidential Envoy and Honors Program
student now works in card sponsorship risk management for Bank of America in
McKee (B.B.A.) was elected to the Florida Defense Lawyers Association
(FDLA) Board of Directors as the representative for the Young Lawyers. McKee,
an attorney for Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. in Fort Myers, is
the Chair of the Editorial Board for the Trial Advocate Quarterly, the flagship
publication of the FDLA. After graduating from UNF, McKee received her law
degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2007.
Xiao and Christy (Rogers) She (B.S) welcomed their daughter, Audrey, July
Marty Khan (Ed.D), a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserve and serves as a
policy planner with the U.S. Military Delegation at NATO Headquarters. As a
planner, he has worked on geopolitical and security cooperation issues at a
number of commands in several countries in both Asia and Europe. He was also UNF’sformer Director of Internal Auditing.
He recently wrote an article, Talking to the Islamic World: How NATO must
communicate its pro-Muslim support, in “per Concordiam (the NATO journal).”
Gillette (M.S.N., B.S.N., 2005) is working as a nurse practitioner at
Parkway Plastic Surgery in Jacksonville. Prior to joining the practice, she
worked as a registered nurse for 15 years.
More than 30 members of the Alpha Chi Omega UNF Alumnae Chapter
attended their annual Founder’s Day celebration in October. The brunch took
place at Marsh Landing Country club. Many of the alumni are very active in the
