Selection Criteria -- Faculty members eligible for such appointment: 1. must hold tenure at the rank of full Professor at the University of North Florida. 2. must have a strong record of significant scholarly accomplishment in the form of publications, grants, collaborations, or any discipline-specific index of achievement. 3. have never held a Presidential Professorship at the University of North Florida.

2013-2014 UNF Foundation Board Initiatives
This year the University of North Florida Foundation will be able to award $30,000 and will select a maximum of three proposals for funding. At least one of the proposals selected for funding will support research work. The UNF Foundation Board welcomes proposals from all UNF teaching faculty (tenured or tenure-earning faculty or instructors). The proposals should meet the following criteria:
Criteria Successful proposals will describe research or special projects that will accomplish one or more of the following goals: • Meet the social, economic or educational needs of North Florida • Align with the strategic priorities of the faculty member’s department, college and the University • Engage UNF students in active learning/research initiatives • Partner or collaborate with other organizations with a similar focus or doing similar work in the community • Demonstrate efficiency and return on investment as well as innovation and creativity (use funds wisely and maximize the impact of the investment) Open House Foundation Board Initiatives Open House September 13 from 11:00 a.m. to Noon Student Union – West Wing, Third Floor, Room #3805 Board members will be on hand to meet faculty and share information about criteria, timeline and process as well as field questions about the Foundation Board Initiatives.
UNF Foundation Board invites you to learn more about the 2013-2014 Foundation
Board Initiatives by attending an Open House session on Friday,
September 13th at 11 am in room #3805 of the Student Union, Bldg.
58/West. It is open to all teaching faculty who have an interest in
requesting funding and have questions about the process. During the Open
House, board members will share information about the Board Initiatives,
answer questions and give feedback. To initially request funding a
“letter of interest” must be submitted to the Deans in early November.
Finalists will then be invited to submit full proposals due in February of 2014
and awards will be announced in early June with funding available July 1, 2014.
