Military and Veterans Resource Center
Welcome to the Military and Veterans Resource Center!
The MVRC was established in 2009 to serve as the primary point of contact for active duty military, veterans and their family members on campus. The center is committed to ensuring that military-affiliated students successfully make the transition from the military environment to campus life and are assisted in their progress toward completing their academic degree. Texas Roadhouse at the St. Johns Town Center
invited the Student Veterans of America UNF Chapter to fund raise during their “Friends and Family” opening in December 2017. The UNF SVA was able to raise $3,500 in support of their club due to the generosity of the diners and the Texas Roadhouse staff, who graciously donated all alcohol sales! Thank you Texas Roadhouse, and great work SVA!
Caron Johnson, Assistant Director of the Military and Veterans Resource Center, was recognized by the Division of Student Affairs for her excellent work ethic and commitment to UNF values during the 2017 Holiday Reception and Awards Presentation. The Military and Veterans Resource Center collected toy donations for the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program in fall 2017. Over two hundred toys were donated by student veterans, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, A&P staff members, alumni veterans and other groups on campus. The Toys for Tots program distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them holiday gifts.
