Florida Statewide Symposium (FSS): Best Practices in Undergraduate Research
What is the FSS?
The Florida Statewide Symposium -- the FSS -- is sponsored annually by the Florida Undergraduate Research Association (FURA). The FSS is designed especially for faculty, administrators, and professional staff from all universities within the statewide system who are interested in learning about and sharing best practices in undergraduate research. Attending the FSS is a great place to meet, ask questions of, and learn from people who are successfully engaging undergraduates in curricular and co-curricular research.
For ten years, the FSS was held at the University of Central Florida in Orlando; however, beginning in 2018, the FSS will be hosted in alternate years by other Florida universities. This year, FSS will be hosted virtually by Embry Riddle University on Friday, October 23, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Three sessions are planned with a 25-minute lunch break.
For more information and registration, please visit the FURA website or contact Wes Lewis, Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research at Embry Riddle, Daytona Beach campus: email@example.com.
